The GENEROSITY of a local skip hire company has offered some hope for a family whose home was destroyed recently when it was STRUCK BY LIGHTENING.
Wayne Perry Skip Hire has offered to help with repairs to the house of Maureen Currie, when she was left with a £75,000 bill because her house was not insured.
Miss McMahon, 29, who lived with her mother Maureen said: “It’s such a great gesture. We were surprised because we didn’t expect anyone to help but we really appreciate it.”
Incredibly, Miss McMahon is lucky to be alive as she was in the house when it was struck by lightening. The lightening deflected off her phone and knocked it out of her hand as she made a call at the top of the stairs, thus saving her life.
