Skip Chicks sell out!

Staff of a Flintshire based skip hire firm have taken a radical approach to fund-raising and have disrobed to raise more than £1000 for the Breast Cancer Care Unit of the Countess of Chester Hospital.
Nine game lasses employed at Alan’s Skip Hire in Bretton all joined in to create a titillating and amusing calendar that was originally meant as a Christmas goodwill gift to suppliers and customers.
The huge popularity of the calendars soon became clear however as the firm was swamped with requests for hundreds more. Vicky Shore (Miss May) says it was not until they realised the unprecedented popularity of the calendars that they came up with the idea of selling them for charity.
“It was a fantastic team effort and done in the right spirit. The shots were tasteful, if a little racy and you couldn’t actually see too much. However we are delighted to have raised more than £1000 for the Countess of Chester Breast Cancer Care Unit which is used by women from both Flintshire and Chester.
“Our problem now is we don’t know what to do for this Christmas. The calendars proved so popular we’ve completely sold out and we’re not sure we will be able to beat it.”
Janet Radcliffe, responsible for fund-raising at the hospital said: “It’s a tremendous effort. The girls did really well and are all really good sports”.
The Skip Magazine says: “Incredible to get so many game women working for the same firm! The photos are great. The lads in our offices can’t wait until the month end to see the what the next month holds forth. Well done, girls!”
