After a slow start, the National Skip Hire Association reports that applications for membership are now arriving at a steady pace.
They have a new recruitment officer, Keith Raymond, who has been busy visiting many skip hire and recycling companies to explain the advantages of belonging to a trade association. During the past couple of weeks he has been active in the Essex area.
“We would like to welcome Mr Anthony Small of Cox Waste Management and Mr John Sweeney of Ethos Recycling Ltd, two recent members who are convinced that the NSHA is an Association going places.” Keith told The Skip.
The NSHA intends to begin arranging meetings in several areas of the country and invite local skip hire companies to attend.
“We will have representatives from insurance companies, environmental departments and other authorities appertaining to the industry giving up-to-date information that affects us all.” Keith said.
The NSHA web site is now receiving an average of 3,000 hits per week - a very encouraging sign, and one that manufacturers of recycling machinery should take note of, as each Association member is given a free web site linked to their own. This is a very cost-effective way of advertising their products to their target market.
The NSHA welcomes all applications for membership. You can apply by contacting Keith Raymond on 07850 436436 or contacting the NSHA office on 01206 307107.
If you prefer, you can apply on line via their web site at www.nsha-uk.co.uk, or by sending an email to info@nsha-uk.co.uk.
