It’s a Family Affair
Stephen Lake has celebrated his 20th year as director of B&B Skip Hire Ltd this year, by expanding still further into a one acre site on the new Beccles Business Park, on the outskirts of Beccles in Suffolk.

With his wife Shirley and two sons, Shaun and Nick in the business, the enterprise is a firmly run family affair, with invaluable support from their experienced staff – David, Steve, Stuart and Barry.

The new recycling building houses a state of the art Powerscreen Powershredder 1800 and Powerscreen Trommel 511, enabling 85% of the waste stream to be recycled. The introduction of this equipment has lead to dramatic saving in their landfill costs, both through separating, weight reduction and volume reduction.
The transfer station now operates with four skip lorries and five hundred skips, and they are also licensed to handle and remove asbestos and are fully regulated by both Suffolk County Council and The Environment Agency.
